HELIOT EMIL presents the highly anticipated launch of a cornerstone within the brand's footwear line, the Hiking Boots. Produced in Italy with Diemme, a mountaineering footwear manufacturing expert with decades of experience, this style introduces an intricate take on a classic utilitarian silhouette while drawing on signature HELIOT EMIL staples and references from outside the fashion realm. Every pair is hand-crafted in the Italian Dolomite mountains, drawing on centuries of regional expertise through a highly specialized manual process where every single stage, from the initial leather cutting and skiving to the final lasting and finishing, is performed entirely by hand. The design evolves traditional techniques to create footwear that goes the distance, whether navigating rugged mountain terrains or urban sidewalks.
Technical Specifications
The construction of the Hiking Boots involves a structural manufacturing process defined by the following technical markers:
- 185 Individual Components: Every boot is an assembly of 185 distinct parts, including multi-density structural reinforcements, specialized hardware, and precision-cut leather panels.
- 72-Stage Manufacturing Process: The production involves a sequence of 72 individual stages, from the initial leather selection and manual skiving to the final steam-setting and hand-polishing.
- 40-Artisan Collective: To ensure the structural integrity of the silhouette, all 40 specialized craftsmen at the Diemme atelier contribute their specific expertise to the completion of every single unit.
- 12-Point Structural Reinforcement: The design incorporates 12 critical stress-point reinforcements, including hand-applied TPU toe caps and internal heel counters, integrated through a high-pressure bonding process.
- 4-Stage Buffing Cycle: Each unit undergoes a 4-stage specialized buffing and treatment cycle to achieve the clinical, industrial finish signature to the HELIOT EMIL aesthetic.
Zero-Automation Lasting: Every boot is 100% hand-lasted to ensure an anatomical fit, a technique that maintains material elasticity more effectively than mechanical lasting.
This relaunch introduces a refined spectrum of colorways alongside the much awaited restock of the classic editions. The collection features the signature Black leather, now available in both the standard and the architectural Tall Hiking Boots silhouette. Adding to the technical palette is the new Light Grey, a clinical and structural take on the hiking form, as well as the Dark Brown, a grounded earth tone that bridges traditional heritage with modern industrial aesthetics. Together, these colorways and silhouettes represent a balance between form and function, offering a unique structural language through intricate paneling and layered construction as HELIOT EMIL continues to redefine the boundaries of technical footwear.
