What if waste wasn’t the end of the cycle, but the start of something new?
We’re always looking for fresh ways to innovate with a purpose, especially in today’s world, where sustainability is constantly in our minds. Our latest collaboration with TEXNIC does exactly that: taking something discarded and overlooked and turning it into something meaningful.
TEXNIC, a pioneering Korean company, has patented a high-performance material made from recycled battery separator, a byproduct of electric car production, usually discarded and burned away. Instead of following the traditional route, TEXNIC saw potential in what others might consider waste.
We saw the potential in this too. Together, we’ve used this innovative material to build a collection meant to redefine technical wear. To mark the release, we hosted a pop-up to show the collection where TEXNIC is based. On May 3rd, HELIOT EMIL opened the doors to its first-ever multi-floor installation in the heart of Seoul. A curated itinerary through spatial experimentation, conceptual design, and cross-cultural dialogue.
Each floor revealed a new layer: our SS25 collection, the collaboration with TEXNIC, curated objects by Found Object, spatial works by LEDONGIL Workshop and GGJH and, finally, a moment to slow down at the HELIOT EMIL Café over a good coffee.
For the occasion, we prepared exclusive custom merchandise for the community, including caps, T-shirts, and cups, along with a special early release of our aluminium cardholder.
