Falconry is a sophisticated language of movement built upon distance, signals, and trust. From the moment a bird takes flight from the falconer's hand to the moment it returns, the process is governed by a delicate interplay of speed, timing, and mutual understanding.
This collaboration translates the principles of falconry into form and structure, expressing its underlying dynamics through design.
For both brands, the wing is not viewed as a mere symbol, but as an aerodynamic structure. Layered constructions reminiscent of feathers, tension-driven details inspired by falconry harnesses, and pattern engineering informed by the flow of air transform each garment into a framework designed for movement. Lightweight yet protective, flexible yet resilient, the silhouettes naturally embody moments of ascent, descent, and directional change.
Within this collaboration, SONGZIO's avant-garde silhouettes and HELIOT EMIL's functional, engineering-driven design language converge through the structural principles of falconry. Straps and drawcords, segmented seam lines, and performance textiles are not employed as decorative elements, but as functional components that facilitate movement, balance, and control. Taut constructions and streamlined forms create a dynamic tension between restraint and freedom.
In this collection, falconry is approached not as a historical ritual, but as a study of movement - an exploration of how the greatest energy can be generated through the most economical gestures. Likewise, the wing is reimagined not as ornamentation, but as a structure that shapes speed, balance, and direction.
